On A Shoestring are driven by the blues, playing informal gigs at clubs around the Worcestershire area of England after forming in 2005. The band met by literally hearing each other at High School and then jamming over since covered songs such as Pride & Joy by Stevie Ray Vaughan, and Sunshine of Your Love by Cream.
On A Shoestring are now concentrating on writing and performing their own original material and getting this material heard locally. The new songs are in the process of being recorded onto CD using little more than a laptop, a mixer and a lot of improvisation (and a lot of cables!).
